Certification & Licensing:

Valid, nationally or internationally recognized Crane Operator Certification/License relevant to the type of crane being operated (e.g., Mobile Crane, Tower Crane, Overhead Crane, Gantry Crane).

Proof of successful completion of a recognized Crane Operator training program.

Experience:

Minimum of 3-5 years of documented professional experience operating heavy-duty cranes in a similar operating environment (e.g., port/terminal operations, heavy industrial construction, shipbuilding).

Proven track record of operating cranes safely with capacities relevant to the job requirements (e.g., tonnage/reach).

Technical Proficiency:

Expertise in pre-operational checks, routine maintenance, and safe hoisting procedures.

In-depth knowledge of load charts, lifting plans, and calculating load weights and centers of gravity.

Ability to identify, inspect, and safely use various rigging equipment (slings, shackles, hooks, chains).

Familiarity with electronic monitoring systems and safety devices (e.g., LMI/RCI systems).

Safety & Regulatory Compliance:

Comprehensive understanding of local and international OSHA/API/ISO safety standards and regulations pertaining to lifting operations.

Commitment to adhering strictly to all site-specific safety protocols, including wind speed restrictions and communication procedures.

Physical & Communication Skills:

Excellent hand-eye coordination, depth perception, and spatial awareness.

Ability to effectively communicate with signal persons/riggers using standardized hand signals and/or radio communication.

Must be able to pass a required physical examination and drug screening.

Language:

Proficiency in English (reading technical manuals, understanding verbal instructions, and communicating clearly over radio).
